BASF is currently building a new Verbund site in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province. Announced in July 2018officially commenced in November 2019, BASF Guangdong Verbund site project would be BASF's largest investment with up to US$10 billion upon completionwould be operated under the sole responsibility of BASF. The site would ultimately be the third-largest BASF site worldwide,will be built into a role model for smart manufacturingsustainable production by utilizing the latest digital technologiesapplying the highest safety standards.
The new smart Verbund site will include a steam cracker with a capacity of 1 million metric tons of ethylene per yeardownstream plants for consumer-oriented products. By utilizing the latest digital technologiesapplying the highest safety standards, the site will be built into a role model for smart manufacturingsustainable production.
Responsibilities
&#8226；As the Lead Business Solution Consultant for the Operational EHS Product Family within the Global Digital Services organization, you will be primarily responsible for supporting the Smart EHS workstream of the BASF Zhanjiang Verbund Site Project.
&#8226；With a goal to continuously improve on safety by leveraging digitalization, you will support the realization of the Smart EHS scope, especially the solutions under the ownership of the Operational EHS project family,ensure all solutions deployed are highly reliableadhere to all applicable internal requirementsexternal/government requirements.
&#8226；With a focus on servicesustainability, you will leverage your expertisefamiliarity in chemical manufacturingdigital technologies to ensure developeddeployed solutions are both qualitycost competitive.
&#8226；You will draft detailed solution design documents for each of the Smart EHS solution offerings, incorporating requirementsmanaging internalexternal resources to ensure the development meets the needs of the project teamother internal stakeholders.
&#8226；You will work in partnership with the Global Digital Services, EHS expert communitiesBASF Zhanjiang Verbund Site Project teams to ute pre-studies related to modernization of EHS solutionsnew technology driven use cases.
&#8226；You will drive the deployment of the Smart EHS scopefuture digital operational EHS solutions with a focus training, change management,lifecycle management.
Qualifications
&#8226；Background in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, natural sciencesinformation technology
&#8226；profound knowledge of programming in Python, Ra comparable programming language, knowledge in the development of complex software solutions, preferably of cloud-based applications, ideally working experience in agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum)DevOps concepts
&#8226；Creativemotivated working style with a strong focus on innovation as well as excellent communication skills which define you as an effective team player
&#8226；Familiarity with BASF production processesworkflows, especially in the Greater China region.
&#8226；Experience in scopingchange management of digital products.
&#8226；Experience in cloud environments.
&#8226；Able to quickly learn new softwareunderstand new technologies.
&#8226；Familiarity with EHS industry software solutions.
&#8226；Experience trainingteaching, especially on software solutions.
&#8226；Fluency in EnglishMandarin.
&#8226；Skilled user of Microsoft Office 365 Tools.
